Rub your meat! (Yeah you heard me right)

I love love love steak.  A big fat filet or a nice Ribeye.  Doesn’t matter and I love to do a homemade rub instead of a marinade.  To me, if you do a rub 1st, you can always leave it or do some sort of yummy drizzle.  Here is my rub and my balsamic drizzle.

-Take all the spices out of your cabinet I use a few shakes of the following:

-Fresh ground pepper (I like mine pepper heavy)

-Lawreys

-Herbs de Provence

-Garlic Salt

-Parsley

-Any kind of steak salt

-Minced onion

-Everyday seasoning

Just do it to your taste, NOT TOO SALTY. I don’t use regular salt.

Cover entire steak and let set at room temp.  Grill to your liking (I like medium rare 4-5 min for a 1 1/2″ steak)

Balsamic Drizzle:

In small pan stir 1/8 c balsamic vinegar, 2 Tblspn brown sugar 2 Tblsp Soy sauce.  Over med-low heat simmer until starts to thicken take off stove. Let cool.  Drizzle over steak.  DOES NOT TAKE MUCH.
