Pasties!! What the Hell is a Pasty you ask…

Growing up in Montana we ate some weird shit. Scones (big stretched fry bread with honey) Pork chop sandwiches and PASTIES!. They are of British decent and basically a meat pie in a pastry type enclosed shell.  Here is my American version. (I did cocktail size ones in honor of my cousin Michael’s girlfriend Billie)  Great idea babygirl.

**Note these are a little difficult to put together and crimp but just pour yourself a nice glass of CADE cabernet and get to work!**

-Lay out a sheet of puff pastry to thaw

-Finely chop one yellow onion and saute in pan until translucent

-add a little over a pound of ground beef

-season the hell out of it with Garlic salt, favorite meat seasoning, pepper and a DASH of cinnamon.

-meanwhile brown 2 cups of finely shredded hashbrowns

-mix it all together

-cut puff pastry into small squares

-add a spoonful of meat mixture, fold into triangle and crimp all sides with fork.

-bake at 400 degrees until golden brown (about 10min)

-Slather with gravy (recipe posted below) and LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLLLLLLLL!
