Sexy Orange Chili Glazed Shrimp Cups

I mean really, look at them, aren’t they sexy?  Its like food porn!  I like things that are sweet and spicy spicy HOT! Most people do Lime-Chili shrimp, but I am not a fan. I decided to try orange chili and put it in a cup to have as a sexy appetizer and they were a hit!  They are really simple it just takes some assembling.  Ready? Lets go sexy shrimping!

-In a big zip lock bag marinate below:

-take 1/2 lb.  med shrimp (I used 31-40 count)

-1/4c orange juice

-pressed 2 cloves of garlic

-1tsp of red asian chili paste

-1tbsp. of chopped cilantro

**set in fridge for about  2 hours, NO LONGER)

-press wonton wrappers into a MINI cupcake tin bake on 350 dgrees until brown

-in a sauce pan on stove add 1/2 cup of orange juice

-add 2 tbsp of soy sauce

-add 2 tbsp of brown sugar

-add 1 tbsp of red asian chili paste (control the heat thru this) add less if you don’t like spicy

-add 1 tbsp of good balsamic vinegar

-bring to boil reduce to med heat and let turn into a syrupy glaze  about 8-10 min stirring occasionally

-meanwhile finely chop up 2 tbsp of Mint and Cilantro

-take shrimp out of marinade and cook in pan until pink (a couple min on each side)

-assemble shrimp cup with 2 pieces of arugula, tiny pinch of the mint and cilantro, one shrimp and spoon a little glaze on top!

VIOLA!  You have a gorgeous and delicious appetizer your guests will devour!
